Rehabilitation Research Experience for Medical Students (RREMS)
RREMS is an eight-week funded summer externship designed to expose medical students to a structured research experience and respected academic physiatrists. Established in 2007, this competitive program has helped over 80 medical students with little exposure to PM&R confidently choose a fulfilling career. First year medical students are encouraged to apply, but all are welcome!
Road to Residency
Prepare for the residency application process with a series of webinars offering advice for every stage. From signaling to selecting your meaningful experiences to interviewing, we’ve got you covered. Hosted by the AAP’s Medical Student Educators, Medical Student, and Resident Fellows councils, these sessions feature Q&A with Physiatry program directors and residents, as well as an overview of changes to the application process for the new year.
Additional Programs & Resources for Students
Our Medical Student Council (MSC) has several student-led programs and compiled resources available for all medical students interested in becoming mentored, networking and making connections, and learning more about PM&R as a specialty.
