Apply to be a Resident/Fellow Section (RFS) Editor for AJPMR
We are excited to announce that applications for new Section Editors for the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AJPMR) Resident Fellow Section (RFS) are now open! The RFS was established to provide PM&R trainees with additional opportunities to publish high-quality original content relevant to PM&R education and training in a peer-reviewed journal.
We are seeking a diverse group of residents and fellows with prior research experience to serve as Section Editors. The primary role of Section Editors is to review and critique submissions to the RFS under the supervision Associate Editors, Dinesh Kumbhare, MD, PhD and Allison Schroeder, MD. It is estimated that Section Editors will review approximately 1-3 articles a month and see these articles through to publication. The group will also meet occasionally to discuss opportunities to enhance the RFS and for Section Editors to learn more about how to effectively review submitted manuscripts. Resident and fellow Section Editors are also invited to be members of the AJPMR Editorial Board, which provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into the editorial process.
We anticipate the time commitment to be approximately 10-15 hours per month. Selected Editors will have the option to remain on the Editorial Staff until the completion of their residency/fellowship training (2-3 years) at the discretion of the Associate Editors.
Eligibility:
